Every tree we plant, care for, and give away represents the start of something that will leave a legacy – and a testament to the power of collective action and our vision of a greener Charlotte. This Giving Tuesday, help TreesCharlotte give health, play, beauty, and new beginnings in the form of trees.
On December 3rd, we will be giving away some more unusual native trees through our Giving Tuesday TreeAdoption. Though we always give away native trees in our TreeAdoptions, these are less common. From small flowering chokecherries to large, canopy-building honey locusts to privacy screen wax myrtles, we want everyone in Charlotte to have access to diverse, native trees right for their yard. Registration and information can be found here.
We also ask on December 3rd for support in achieving our mission. Every gift—no matter the size—directly impacts our programs and helps us plant the seeds for a greener tomorrow. With Charlotte’s continued growth, the challenges facing our urban forest are evolving, yet we remain rooted in our core mission to protect and expand our canopy.
