Tree Walk: A Magical Spring Stroll

April 28, 2018, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Charlotte prides itself as the city of trees, but could you identify our most common trees? Take a walking tour of the beautiful Farmington Neighborhood, an oasis of trees in Ballantyne, and learn about 20 of the most popular trees in Charlotte. Led by Mark Livingston, a master arborist, and Kim Hombs, a Farmington resident. Both guides are members of a Charlotte Canopy Team, a citizen-led group dedicated to preserving and growing Charlotte’s urban forest. The Tree Walk is part of Take Root, Charlotte! – a new series from TreesCharlotte and the City of Charlotte.

Meet at the cul-de-sac at 16303 Farmchase Court. Rain or shine! Be sure to wear your walking shoes, route will be an easy 1 mile. Coffee and doughnuts provided!

SAVE THE DATE!

Our next Take Root, Charlotte! event is Tree Walk: A Tour of Historic Oaks, Maples and Evergreens at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 12, at Elmwood Cemetery in uptown Charlotte. Click here for more details!
