Linda Nelson is an environmental advocate and community organizer focused on promoting native plants, sustainable landscaping, and ecological education in the Charlotte region. She is the founder and president of the Wild Ones Charlotte Piedmont Chapter, a local chapter of the national nonprofit Wild Ones that encourages biodiversity through native gardening and habitat restoration. Nelson has helped lead educational programs, workshops, and public outreach initiatives across the North Carolina Piedmont, often collaborating with gardening groups, conservation organizations, and local educators. Her work emphasizes practical, community-based approaches to supporting pollinators, wildlife habitats, and environmentally responsible landscaping. Through her leadership and volunteer efforts, she has become a visible advocate for native plant awareness and grassroots environmental stewardship in the Charlotte area.
