For volunteer opportunities, please check out events marked with a blue ribbon! Don’t see any available dates? Our events open on a rolling basis, so check back at the beginning of each month!
Our goal is to give away approximately 150 trees to residents of the Burtonwood, East Forest, McClintock Woods, Oakhurst, and Woodberry Forest neighborhoods, as well as the congregation of East Baptist Church, collectively known as MonroeScape. The location of the event is yet to be determined and will be updated once it has been confirmed.
Residents of the MonroeScape area are invited to come out, learn about trees and take a few home to plant. At the event, you will be trained on how to properly plant and care for your tree(s). Tree training is mandatory. You will then be asked to complete and sign a Stewardship Pledge Form with your home and email address (mandatory) and declare your pledge to take care of the tree(s) we provide.
We cannot guarantee species type or quantities. Trees are 6-10′ tall, and will not be reserved or transported. This is a first come, first served event.
If you are a resident of Burtonwood, East Forest, McClintock Woods, Oakhurst, or Woodberry Forest or a Charlotte resident member of East Baptist Church and would like to sign up for trees, please click here or the “Get Trees” button at the top of the page. Deadline to register for trees is Friday, February 23.
A few volunteers are needed to help plant trees around the church grounds. Space is limited to 10 volunteers. TreeMasters, please scroll to the bottom to register as a TreeMaster.
