For volunteer opportunities, please check out events marked with a blue ribbon! Don’t see any available dates? Our events open on a rolling basis, so check back at the beginning of each month!
Having completed a NeighborWoods Application and been accepted into the program, TreesCharlotte is pleased to be partnering with the Grier Heights and the Elizabeth Heights neighborhoods to distribute free trees to their residents.
Pre-registration for trees is required by completing the form below. You must be a resident of Grier Heights or Elizabeth Heights. Deadline to register for trees is Monday, October 7.
Residents of Grier Heights and Elizabeth Heights are invited to come to the Grier Heights Community Center, learn about trees and take up to 3 home to plant. At the event, you will be trained on how to properly plant and care for your tree(s). Tree training is mandatory. You will then be asked to complete and sign a Stewardship Pledge Form and declare your pledge to take care of the tree(s) we provide.
We cannot guarantee species type or quantities. Trees are 6-10′ tall, and will not be reserved or transported. This is a first come, first served event.
Events are held rain or shine. A modest rainfall actually provides ideal planting conditions.
I have enough TreeMasters for this event. A few seasoned TreeMasters are needed to help run the event and help with tree and mulch distribution. Click here to learn more about the TreeMaster program.
