#134 Southern Red Oak (Quercus falcata)
This southern red oak stands on a gentle hill overlooking the historic Pinewood Cemetery, which first opened in 1853. It originally opened as a segregated cemetery, separated from the Elmwood Cemetery by a chain link fence until a successful campaign brought down the fence in the late 1960s.
