#022 Black Walnut (Juglans nigra)
The Treasure Tree program helped save this Black Walnut when the new church sanctuary was built in 2002. The tree still produces a great deal of walnuts and has low, sweeping branches extending north-south and east-west. This tree is located on the same property as the Eastern Red Cedar (#021) from the original Treasure Trees program, although that tree has since been removed.
