Join us for an enlightening tree walk led by our own TreesCharlotte arborist!
About
Come join us for an evening tree walk in collaboration with TreesCharlotte and Daniel Stowe Conservancy, guided by TreesCharlotte’s Urban Forest Educator and Stowe’s staff as we explore the grounds just before sunset. During this immersive experience, you’ll learn about native trees, their unique characteristics, and the relationships they share with local wildlife and the surrounding ecosystem. Along the way, we’ll cover tree identification, how to recognize signs of tree health or stress, and share insights on sustainable tree care practices. Whether you’re new to tree ID or a seasoned nature lover, this walk is a great opportunity to ask questions, discover something new, and leave with a deeper appreciation for the trees around us.
The event is from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Tree Walk will begin at The Trailhead Store at Daniel Stowe Conservancy. We encourage you to plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early to allow time to find parking as the event will start promptly at 7:00 pm. We will have a table to check in.
Comfortable attire and walking shoes are a must. Please plan to expect a brisk walk through the trail!
Trail Surfaces: crushed concrete (gravel) and natural surface (dirt with roots present). Strollers are not recommended on this walk.
*A minimum of 8 people are required for the event to occur. Registered attendees will receive at least 24 hours’ notice if the event must be canceled due to low attendance.
