Tree Mapping in the Ramblewood Neighborhood

July 21 2023, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM

TreesCharlotte will be conducting a tree inventory mapping of street-view trees in the McCrorey Heights neighborhood. Volunteers will be split into zones and will be given measuring tapes, tree manuals, and tablets with the “PictureThis” app.  Volunteers will identify the following:

  • Number of trees (note heritage trees)
  • Trunk diameter measurement of each accessible tree
  • Identify tree species and the number of each tree species

Participants are encouraged to download the “PictureThis” app ahead of the tree mapping event. PictureThis is a free app to use, please do not subscribe to this service. If you have trouble accessing the free version, the TreesCharlotte staff will guide you on how to access on the day of the event.

This event is open to partnerships and communities within our Treesilience initiative and TreeMAKs. Register HERE!
