For volunteer opportunities, please check out events marked with a blue ribbon! Don’t see any available dates? Our events open on a rolling basis, so check back at the beginning of each month!
Our goal is to give away approximately 150 trees to residents of the Cameron Wood neighborhood and plant trees in their common area. The tree give away portion of the event will be held from 8:30-10:00am while the volunteer/common area planting will take place from 10:00am-noon.
Volunteers
Thank you to all the volunteers and TreeMasters that have registered to help out. We have reached capacity for this event. Please visit our events calendar for other open volunteer opportunities.
We are seeking volunteers to help plant the common areas and are asked to arrive by 10:00am. To ensure a safe and enjoyable event, we are limiting the number of volunteers to 30 for this event. Register early as our events “sell out” quickly.
Tree planting events are great for families and everyone is welcome. To ensure accurate active volunteer counts, please list all participants on the registration form, along with children’s ages. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
Events are held rain or shine. A modest rainfall actually provides ideal planting conditions.
Deadline to register to volunteer is Sunday, February 26.
Residents
Residents are invited to come out, learn about trees and take a few home to plant. The tree give away portion starts at 8:30am. TreeMasters will be on hand to demonstrate proper techniques for planting and maintaining trees. If you are a resident of Cameron Wood and would like to sign up for trees, please click here or the “Get Trees” button at the top of the page. Deadline to register for trees is Friday, February 24.
We cannot guarantee species type or quantities. Trees are 6-10′ tall, and will not be reserved or transported. This is a first come, first served event.
