#088 American Beech (Fagus grandifolia)
This grove at Ribbonwalk is comprised of 75 original Beech trees, some of which have a diameter of more than 35 inches! They are estimated to be 150-200 years old. To see them, take the Hoyt Hinson Trail and turn right onto the Beech Walk Trail. You should run into the grove quickly; it is marked with a sign.
