Located on the southwest corner of the Main Garden courtyard at Wing Haven, this Chaste Tree is still standing! This Original Treasure Tree was planted by Elizabeth Clarkson, the late garden writer whose home is now part of Wing Haven, from a cutting taken from her mother’s plant in Uvalde, Texas. The Chaste Tree is the reigning state champion (largest known specimen in the state) as of 2020.
