#136 Southern Catalpa (Catalpa bignonioides)

This unusual tree stands right in the front yard of a private home in the Dilworth neighborhood. Southern catalpa is native to southern states like Alabama and Louisiana. The catalpa sports huge leaves sometimes over a foot long, and in early summer blooms with large white flowers.
