DESCRIPTION:TreesCharlotte is excited to open this TreeAdoption to ALL Charlotte residents! \nWe’ll have a mix of species\, from small flowering to canopy building to evergreen screening. There’s something for everybody. Our zip code TreeAdoptions give priority to those living in targeted areas of the city. Those residents are invited to early registration on the Friday of the week before the adoption. If the TreeAdoption does not “sell-out” by the following Monday\, November 6th\, all residents of Charlotte will be invited to register beginning at 10am. \nA link to register for trees will be added here on November 3.  \nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER  \nWe are seeking TreeMasters and general volunteers to help manage the event.  Click here to register to volunteer. \nHere’s what you need to know:  \nRegistration details \n\nRegistration is required and opens at 10:00 am Friday\, November 3 (link will be posted above on 11/3) and closes when trees “sell out” or at 11:59 pm Wednesday\, November 8.  \n(This event is now open to all Charlotte zip codes) Each address within zip codes 28206\, 28208\, 28213\, 28214\, or 28216 can get up to 2 trees. While the registration form does not limit the total number of trees\, households requesting more than 2 trees will be notified and removed.\nAll trees are required to be registered to the homeowner receiving those trees\, with accurate contact information (including first name(s)\, last name(s)\, address\, email address\, and phone number). Correct contact information for each homeowner is required.\nIf you are registering for or picking up trees on behalf of a neighbor or friend\, please provide the homeowner’s correct contact information and bring copy of their registration with you to the event.\nWhile you will be able to pre-select your species\, we cannot guarantee the variety or quantities that will be available on the day of the event. We will\, however\, make all efforts to sub in a comparable tree. \nResale of TreesCharlotte trees is prohibited and may result in being disallowed at future adoptions and TreesCharlotte events.\nPlanting of TreesCharlotte trees for profit is prohibited and may result in being disallowed at future adoptions and TreesCharlotte events.\n\nDay of event details \n\nAll TreeAdoption attendees are required to go through a planting demonstration on the day of the TreeAdoption.\nAllow for at least 45 minutes to receive your trees as everyone is required to go through a planting demonstration. DESCRIPTION:Thanks to the generous support of our Treesilience sponsors\, TreesCharlotte is pleased to partner with the McCrorey Heights neighborhood to plant trees in resident’s front yards and to host a TreeAdoption for additional trees to be planted by residents.  \nThe morning will kickoff with refreshments for the volunteers and the community members. TreeMasters will conduct a “Right Tree\, Right Place” seminar at 9 AM for community members to learn how to properly plant their trees and what to consider when choosing a location.  A link to register for trees will be distributed by community leaders. \nThe morning continues with volunteers helping residents to plant trees in front yards throughout the neighborhood. \nWhile we love our volunteers\, this event is currently reserved for our Treesilience sponsors. Every donation\, regardless of the amount\, contributes significantly to the growth and sustainability of Charlotte’s urban forest.
