SUMMARY:Spring TreeAmbassador Training
DESCRIPTION:Education is a cornerstone of TreesCharlotte’s mission\, but our data shows that less than 10% of Charlotteans are familiar with our organization. With a rapidly developing city\, we need to ensure that residents are given the inspiration they need to advocate for tree planting and preservation in their communities. We are in search of passionate\, motivated individuals to help TreesCharlotte spread awareness.  TreeAmbassadors are specially trained volunteers who represent TreesCharlotte at outreach events\, educational opportunities\, and more!  \n The Spring Training will focus on the below: \n\nTreeAmbassador Handbook Competition  (Friendly game based on the contents of the handbook)\nState of the Canopy Presentation \nSchool/Camp Activities\nTabling at Events\nTreesilience (New initiative in under canopied and underserved neighborhoods)\n\nIf this sounds like you and you want to volunteer in this capacity please register for our TreeAmbassador Training on Wednesday\, May 10th from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. The training will occur at the City’s Landscape Management Building.  \nRegister HERE!

SUMMARY:Treesilience Canvassing at Ramblewood
DESCRIPTION:TreesCharlotte is excited to educate the residents about the Treesilience program coming to their neighborhood. Volunteers will canvas and provide door tags to sign up for our Treesilience programs: Canopy Care\, Front Yard Plantings\, Tree Stewardship\, and TreeAdoption (backyard trees). \nThere will also be a table set up to assist with in-person sign-ups and provide tree care education. Registration is open for TreeMAKs and general volunteers. You can register HERE.
