SUMMARY:Feel the Fall Citywide TreeStore Nov. 9\, 2019
DESCRIPTION:Fall is a wonderful time of year to add the beauty and health of trees to your yard. Lucky for you\, we’re giving 400 trees away at our Feel the Fall TreeStore! \nWe’ll have a big mix of species\, from small flowering to canopy building to evergreen screening. There’s something for everybody! \nDid you know that fall is the best time to plant a tree?! Fall gives your new tree several months of cooler weather so that it can concentrate on root establishment rather than leaf production. And\, the fall and winter tend to be rainy – nature’s tree watering system! \nHere’s what you need to know:  \n\nEach Charlotte household is eligible for up to two free trees.  Limit 2 trees per address.\nTreesCharlotte’s mission is to help the City of Charlotte reach their goal of 50% tree canopy by 2050.  We therefore limit our efforts to expand the canopy within Charlotte’s city limits and limit participation to Charlotte residents only (unfortunately\, we do not serve Matthews\, Mint Hill\, Pineville\, Huntersville\, Davidson\, Cornelius\, other municipalities outside Charlotte\, or Mecklenburg County).\nProof of Charlotte residency (such as a driver’s license\, utility bill\, etc.) must be shown at the event in order to participate.\nA valid email address is required to register.\nYou will complete and sign a Stewardship Pledge Form (mandatory) and declare your pledge to take care of the tree(s) we provide.\nAt the TreeStore\, you will be taught how to properly plant and care for your tree(s).  Tree education is mandatory for everyone.\nWe cannot guarantee species type or quantities and will not know what will be available until the morning of the event.\nTrees are in 7-gallon containers\, range from 6-10′ tall\, and will not be reserved or transported.\n\nTreesCharlotte is a non-profit organization that relies on donations to be able to host events like this.  A suggested donation of $20 is greatly appreciated and would help us give more trees to Charlotte residents. \nRegistration is encouraged and will be open October 23 through November 5. Deadline to register is midnight\, November 5  \nRegistration does not guarantee you trees or tree varieties\, however\, it does get you a sneak peak (via email a few days before the event) of the varieties we hope to offer. \nWe expect to give out close to 400 trees on a first come\, first served basis. Expect long lines as this will be a popular event. \nThis event is supported by the Charlotte Regional Realtors Association and Coca-Cola Consolidated. \nRegistration now open \nVolunteers are needed to help move and distribute trees and mulch into participants cars.  Register to volunteer below.

DESCRIPTION:Whether you’re new to Charlotte or new to TreesCharlotte\, we have a special invitation just for you. On Oct. 17\, we are hosting our First-Timers TreeStore\, where we’re giving away 100 free Maple trees to Charlotte residents who’ve never shopped our stores before! If you’re a TreesCharlotte first-timer\, you can take home up two FREE trees! What a terrific way to get started on what promises to be a wonderful tree journey in the Queen City. \n\nEach Charlotte household is eligible for up to two free trees.  Limit 2 trees per address.  New participants only.\nTreesCharlotte’s mission is to help the City of Charlotte reach their goal of 50% tree canopy by 2050.  We therefore limit our efforts to expand the canopy within Charlotte’s city limits and limit participation to Charlotte residents only (unfortunately\, we do not serve Matthews\, Mint Hill\, Pineville\, Huntersville\, Davidson\, Cornelius\, other municipalities outside Charlotte\, or Mecklenburg County).\nProof of Charlotte residency (such as a driver’s license\, utility bill\, etc.) must be shown at the event in order to participate.\nA valid email address is required to register.\nYou will sign a Stewardship Pledge Form (mandatory) and declare your pledge to take care of the tree(s) we provide.\nAt the TreeStore\, you will be taught how to properly plant and care for your tree(s).  Tree education is mandatory for everyone.\nWe cannot guarantee species type or quantities and will not know which variety of Maples will be available until the day of the event.\nTrees are in 7-gallon containers\, range from 6-10′ tall\, and will not be reserved or transported.\n\nTreesCharlotte is a non-profit organization that relies on donations to be able to host events like this.  A suggested donation of $20 is greatly appreciated and would help us give more trees to Charlotte residents. \nPre-registration is required and will be open September 30 through October 13. Deadline to register is midnight\, October 13.  Registration has closed\, please visit our calendar for additional TreeStore opportunities. \nRegistration does not guarantee you trees\, however\, it does get you through the line faster. \nWe expect to give out 100 Maple trees on a first come\, first served basis. Expect long lines. \nRegistration Has Closed \nA few volunteers are needed to help move and distribute trees and mulch into participants cars.  Register to volunteer here.

SUMMARY:TreeMaster Refresher TreeDay
DESCRIPTION:Thanks to our official TreeMaster sponsor\, \nthe Charlotte office of \n \nTreeMasters: Are. You. Reeeaaaddddyyy??!!! \nThe TreesCharlotte team is pumped to get our 8th planting season underway\, and we have a packed calendar. We have some new moves\, and one of them is just for you: A planting solely for TreeMasters to kick off the season. The team here thought it would be both fun and instructive to gather before the season to share some updates from the summer\, talk about the upcoming season (and how your leadership will be needed more than ever) and get some refresher planting and mulching training from Frank and Erin. \nAfter we all reconnect (with doughnuts and coffee\, of course)\, we’ll plant about 50 trees together – just the TC team\, experts from Bartlett and you\, the TreeMasters! \nThe fun begins at 9 am\, at Berryhill Elementary in west Charlotte\, a sweet little school tucked in the woods beside Lake Wylie. To make this event even more notable\, this planting will mark our 50th school. Wow!!! \nWe hope you are as excited and ready to don those orange hats as we are. If you can make it\, sign up below. If not\, we’ll catch you at an upcoming event!
