SUMMARY:Candlewyck NeighborWoods Event
DESCRIPTION:Our goal is to plant 100 trees in common areas and give away approximately 100 trees to the residents of the Candlewyck neighborhood in Charlotte. \nVolunteers   \nVolunteers are asked to arrive by 10:00am.  To ensure a safe and enjoyable event\, we are limiting the number of volunteers to 50 for this event. Register early as our events “sell out” quickly. \nTree planting events are great for families and everyone is welcome. To ensure accurate active volunteer counts\, please list all participants on the registration form\, along with children’s ages. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. \nEvents are held rain or shine.  A modest rainfall actually provides ideal planting conditions. \nDeadline to register to volunteer is Wednesday\, September 28.  Click here to register. \nOnce registered\, more detailed information will be emailed to you the week of the event. \nResidents \nResidents are invited to come out\, learn about trees and take a few home to plant. TreeMasters will be on hand to demonstrate proper techniques for planting and maintaining trees. If you are a resident of Candlewyck and would like to sign up for trees\, please click here or the “Get Trees” button at the top of the page.  Deadline to register for trees is Friday\, September 23. \nWe cannot guarantee species type or quantities.  Trees are 6-10′ tall\, and will not be reserved or transported. This is a first come\, first served event. \nTreeMasters\, if you would like to volunteer at this event\, please click here.
