SUMMARY:Little Sugar Creek Greenway TreeDay Event
DESCRIPTION:TreesCharlotte will be planting approximately 100 trees along Little Sugar Creek.  Event headquarters to be determined and will be posted once confirmed. \nTo ensure a safe and enjoyable event\, we are limiting the number of volunteers to 50 for this TreeDay. Register early as our events “sell out” quickly. Only 5 spots remain. \n  \nPlease note\, we will be planting along the greenway.  Volunteers must be able to walk some distance from their cars to the actual planting site. \n  \nTree planting events are great for families and everyone is welcome. To ensure accurate active volunteer counts\, please list all participants on the registration form\, along with children’s ages. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. \nTreesCharlotte is exited to partner with CupLux Coffee to provide our volunteers with delicious\, hand crafted coffee at our events. \nEvents are held rain or shine.  A modest rainfall actually provides ideal planting conditions. \nDeadline to register is Sunday\, January 28. \nOnce registered\, more detailed information will be emailed to you the week of the event.

SUMMARY:Regional TreeStore - East Charlotte
DESCRIPTION:TreesCharlotte is bringing its City-wide TreeStore to East Charlotte at the old Eastland Mall site.  Are you a resident of Charlotte?  Do you need some trees for your yard?  Each Charlotte household is eligible for up to two free trees.  Proof of Charlotte residency (such as a driver’s license\, utility bill\, etc.) as well as a valid email address must be provided in order to participate.  One of the missions of TreesCharlotte is to help the City of Charlotte and City Council reach their goal of 50% tree canopy by 2050.  We therefore limit our efforts to expand the canopy within city limits and limit participation to Charlotte residents. \nAt the TreeStore\, you will be trained on how to properly plant and care for your tree(s).  Tree training is mandatory.  You will then be asked to complete and sign a Stewardship Pledge Form with your home and email address (mandatory) and declare your pledge to take care of the tree(s) we provide. \nWe cannot guarantee species type or quantities.  Trees are 6-10′ tall\, and will not be reserved or transported. \nThis is a first come\, first served event as quantities are limited. \nVolunteers and TreeMasters are needed to help move and distribute trees and mulch to participants.

SUMMARY:Regional TreeStore - Steele Creek
DESCRIPTION:TreesCharlotte is bringing its City-wide TreeStore to Steele Creek. \nTreesCharlotte is a non-profit organization that relies on donations to be able to host events like this.  A suggested donation of $5 per tree is greatly appreciated and would help us to give more trees to Charlotte residents. \nWe cannot guarantee species type or quantities.  Trees are in 7-gallon containers\, range from 6-10′ tall\, and will not be reserved or transported. \nThis is a first come\, first served event as quantities are limited. \nTreeMasters are needed to help move and distribute trees and mulch to participants.
