SUMMARY:Landen Meadows NeighborWoods Event
DESCRIPTION:TreesCharlotte is pleased to partner with the Landen Meadows community for a Tree-It-Forward NeighborWoods event.  Our goal is to plant over 150 trees in common areas and give away approximately 100 trees to the residents of the Landen Meadows neighborhood in Charlotte.  Tree It Forward neighborhood participants contribute a portion of the cost of the trees and the event. Their contribution helps to offset these expenses. \nVolunteers  \nExcitement for our volunteer tree planting events has been Tree-mendous. To ensure a fun and safe event\, we have reached maximum capacity for this event. Please visit the community calendar for additional opportunities. \nVolunteers are needed to help plant the common areas and are asked to arrive by 10:00am.  To ensure a safe and enjoyable event\, we are limiting the number of volunteers to 75 for this event. Register early as our events “sell out” quickly. \nTree planting events are great for families and everyone is welcome. To ensure accurate active volunteer counts\, please list all participants on the registration form\, along with children’s ages. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. \nEvents are held rain or shine.  A modest rainfall actually provides ideal planting conditions. \nResidents \nResidents are invited to come out\, learn about trees and take a few home to plant. Event starts at 8:30am. TreeMasters will be on hand to demonstrate proper techniques for planting and maintaining trees. If you are a resident of Landen Meadows and would like to sign up for trees\, please click here or the “Get Trees” button at the top of the page.  Deadline to register for trees is Sunday\, February 5. \nWe cannot guarantee species type or quantities.  Trees are 6-10′ tall\, and will not be reserved or transported. This is a first come\, first served event.

DESCRIPTION:With generous support from District Rotary\, TreesCharlotte will be planting approximately 200 trees on the campus of Winding Springs Elementary. \nChildren activities will be provided between 9:00 and 10:00 am by our community partner\, NC Wildlife Federation. \nTo ensure a safe and enjoyable event\, we are limiting the number of volunteers to 175 for this TreeDay. Register early as our events “sell out” quickly. \nTree planting events are great for families and everyone is welcome. To ensure accurate active volunteer counts\, please list all participants on the registration form\, along with children’s ages.
