DESCRIPTION:Thanks to the generosity of Northwood Office\, TreesCharlotte is excited to provide a zip code TreeAdoption event for those in South Charlotte! We invite residents living in zip codes 28202\, 28203\, 28204\, 28209\, 28207\, 28211\, 28210\, 28226\, 28277\, and 28270 to come on out and get some trees at a Northwood Office’s park at the entrance of their Chandler building!  \nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER \n  \nTo ensure the event runs smoothly please read the details below carefully: \nHere’s what you need to know:  \n\nRegistration is required and opens at 10 am Monday\, January 30th\, and closes when we “sell-out” of trees or at 11:59 pm Thursday\, February 2nd. (Button to register will be posted above on Jan. 30)\nEach city of Charlotte address within the zip codes 28202\, 28203\, 28204\, 28209\, 28207\, 28211\, 28210\, 28226\, 28277\, and 28270 can get up to 2 trees. While the registration form does not limit the total number of trees\, households requesting more than 2 trees will be notified and removed.\nA valid email address is required to register.\nPlease allow for at least 45 minutes to receive your trees as everyone is required to go through a planting demonstration. \nWe are continuing to implement staggered pickup times. On the registration form\, you will choose a time frame to pick up your trees. \nAt the TreeAdoption\, you will be taught how to plant and care for your tree(s) properly. Tree training is mandatory.\nAbout the trees: The trees are in 7-gallon containers\, measure 6-10 feet tall\, and weigh about 10-15 pounds. The mulch weighs 25 pounds/bag. Links to the species we are offering are provided below.  Please do your homework first to ensure you’re putting the right tree in the right place. Once registered\, selections are final and cannot be changed.\nTreesCharlotte will send a follow-up email with planting instructions – including a planting video and watering instructions.  Tree planting is not provided.\n\nTreesCharlotte is a non-profit organization that relies on donations to host events like this. Donations are greatly appreciated and help us give more trees to Charlotte residents. If interested please click HERE.  \nThe list of available trees are below. All species are subject to change. DESCRIPTION:Having completed a CommunityWoods Application TreesCharlotte is pleased to partner with the Raeburn neighborhood to plant trees in their common areas which the residents will be able to enjoy for years to come! \nWe are recruiting volunteers and TreeMasters to help plant trees in the common areas at 10:00 am on February 4th. Register early as our events “sell-out” quickly. Click the button to register!   \nTree planting events are great for families and all ages are welcome. To ensure accurate counts and liability forms are signed\, we ask that all participants please register separately. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. \nNon-corporate volunteer groups of 10 or more\, please contact events director\, Zack Agerton to determine if there is enough capacity. (Corporate groups please contact Beth Brodie for more information) \nEvents are held rain or shine. Details of the event will be emailed to registered volunteers the week of the event. \n
