DESCRIPTION:Thanks to generous support from Atrium Health\, Accenture\, Bank of America\, UPS\, Keep America Beautiful and Keep Mecklenburg Beautiful\, TreesCharlotte will be planting approximately 342 trees on the campus of University Meadows Elementary School. \nWhile TreesCharlotte strives to celebrate\, expand\, and protect the tree canopy in Charlotte\, we also want to protect the health of our supporters\, volunteers\, and partners from risks associated with COVID-19.  We appreciate your continued interest in volunteering with us even in these difficult times. Please read through our new event protocols here before registering to volunteer. \nWe are looking for 200 volunteers to help plant trees around the campus on the morning of October 16. Register early as our events “sell out” quickly.  90 spots remain.  \nVolunteer groups of 10 or more\, please contact Zack Agerton to determine if there is enough capacity. \nTree planting events are great for families and all ages are welcome. To ensure accurate counts and liability forms are signed\, we ask that all participants please register separately. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. \nEvents are held rain or shine. A modest rainfall actually provides ideal planting conditions. \nDeadline to register to volunteer is Sunday\, October 10. \nOnce registered\, more detailed information will be emailed to you the week of the event.
