DESCRIPTION:NOW OPEN TO ALL CITY RESIDENTS!! \nThanks to the generous support from the Bank of America Foundation\, TreesCharlotte is excited to provide a zip code TreeAdoption event for those in the Crescent of Charlotte! We invite residents living in zip codes 28206\, 28208\, 28213\, 28214\, and 28216 to come on out and get some trees at TreesCharlotte!  \nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER \nTo ensure the event runs smoothly please read the details below carefully: \nHere’s what you need to know:  \n\nRegistration is required and opens at 10 am Monday\, January 9th\, and closes when we “sell-out” of trees or at 11:59 pm Thursday\, January 12th. (button to register will be posted above on Jan. 9)\nEach address within the city of Charlotte zip codes 28206\, 28208\, 28213\, 28214\, and 28216 can get up to 2 trees. While the registration form does not limit the total number of trees\, households requesting more than 2 trees will be notified and removed.\nA valid email address is required to register.\nPlease allow for at least 45 minutes to receive your trees as everyone is required to go through a planting demonstration. \nWe are continuing to implement staggered pickup times. On the registration form\, you will choose a time frame to pick up your trees. \nAt the TreeAdoption\, you will be taught how to plant and care for your tree(s) properly.  Tree training is mandatory.\nAbout the trees: The trees are in 7-gallon containers\, measure 6-10 feet tall\, and weigh about 10-15 pounds. The mulch weighs 25 pounds/bag. Links to the species we are offering are provided below.  Please do your homework first to ensure you’re putting the right tree in the right place. Once registered\, selections are final and cannot be changed.\nTreesCharlotte will send a follow-up email with planting instructions – including a planting video and watering instructions.  Tree planting is not provided.\n\nTreesCharlotte is a non-profit organization that relies on donations to host events like this. Register early as our events “sell-out” quickly.   \nVolunteer groups of 10 or more\, please contact Zack Agerton to determine if there is enough capacity.  \nTree planting events are great for families and all ages are welcome. To ensure accurate counts and liability forms are signed\, we ask that all participants please register separately. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. \nEvents are held rain or shine. DESCRIPTION:Having completed a CommunityWoods Application TreesCharlotte is pleased to partner with the Oakhurst and Amity Gardens neighborhoods to provide trees to their residents. \nWe will conduct a TreeAdoption at the Independence Regional Library on Saturday\, January 28th\, for residents to pick up and plant trees in their own yards! What a great way to add more shade and beauty to your neighborhood. \nResidents\, here’s what you need to know: \n\nEach household can get up to 3 trees\, with a limit of 2 of the same species per household.\nYou must pre-register for the trees. Registration opens at 10:00 am\, Monday\, January 9th (the link to register will be shared by your neighborhood leadership) and closes at 11:59 pm\, Thursday\, January 19th.\nEach tree comes with a bag of mulch.\nYou will need to pick up your trees at the Independence Library\, on Sat\, Jan. 28\, between 9-10:00 a.m. If you cannot make this window\, please make arrangements with a neighbor to get your trees. \nAt the TreeAdoption\, you will be taught how to properly plant and care for your tree(s).  Tree training is mandatory.\nAbout the trees: The trees are in 7-gallon containers\, measure 6-15 feet tall\, and weigh about 20-25 pounds.
