DESCRIPTION:Having completed a CommunituyWoods Application TreesCharlotte is pleased to partner with the Southbridge Forest neighborhood to plant trees in their common areas which the residents will be able to enjoy for years to come! \nWe are recruiting 120 volunteers and 10 TreeMasters to help plant trees in the common areas at 9:00 am on December 3rd. Register early as our events “sell-out” quickly.  click the button to register!   \nTree planting events are great for families and all ages are welcome. To ensure accurate counts and liability forms are signed\, we ask that all participants please register separately. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. \nNon-corporate volunteer groups of 10 or more\, please contact events director\, Zack Agerton to determine if there is enough capacity. (Corporate groups please contact Beth Brodie for more information) \nEvents are held rain or shine. Details of the event will be emailed to registered volunteers the week of the event. \n

SUMMARY:Fall First-Timers TreeAdoption
DESCRIPTION:Whether you’re new to Charlotte or new to TreesCharlotte\, we have a special invitation just for you. Thanks to Crescent Communities\, we are hosting a First-Timers TreeAdoption. This event is for Charlotte residents who’ve never participated in our TreeAdoptions before! If you’re a TreesCharlotte first-timer\, you can take home up to two FREE trees! What a terrific way to get started on what promises to be a wonderful tree journey in the Queen City. \nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER \nHere’s what you need to know:  \n\nRegistration is required and opens at 10:00 am Monday\, December 5th (link will be posted above on Dec. 5) and closes when trees “sell out” or at 12:01 am Thursday\, December 8  Scroll down to below the list of species we’re offering for the link to register. \nEach Charlotte address/household can get up to 2 trees. While the registration form does not limit the total number of trees\, households requesting more than 2 trees will be notified and removed.\nA valid email address is required to register.\nPlease allow for at least 45 minutes to receive your trees as everyone is required to go through a planting demonstration. \nWe are continuing to implement staggered pickup times. On the registration form\, you will choose a time frame to pick up your trees. \nAt the TreeAdoption\, you will be taught how to properly plant and care for your tree(s).  Tree training is mandatory.\nAbout the trees: The trees are in 7-gallon containers\, measure 6-10 feet tall and weigh about 10-15 pounds. The mulch weighs 25 pounds/bag. Links to the species we are offering are provided below.  Please do your homework first to ensure you’re putting the right tree in the right place. Once registered\, selections are final and cannot be changed.\nTreesCharlotte will send a follow-up email with planting instructions – including a planting video – watering instructions and specific information about the species you select.\nWe limit participation to residents within Charlotte city limits.  At this time\, we do not serve Matthews\, Mint Hill\, Pineville\, Huntersville\, Davidson\, Cornelius\, Mecklenburg County\, or other municipalities outside Charlotte.\n\nTreesCharlotte is a non-profit organization that relies on donations to be able to host events like this. DESCRIPTION:Having completed a CommunityWoods Application TreesCharlotte is pleased to partner with the Campe Green and Historic Fourth Ward neighborhoods to provide trees to their residents. \nWe will conduct a TreeAdoption at our headquarters on Saturday\, December 10\, for residents to pick up and plant trees in their own yards! What a great way to add more shade and beauty to your neighborhood. \nResidents\, here’s what you need to know: \n\nEach household can get up to 3 trees\, with a limit of 2 of the same species per household.\nYou must pre-register for the trees. Registration opens at 10:00 am\, Monday\, Nov. 28 (the link to register will be shared by your HOA) and closes at 11:59 pm\, Monday\, December 5.\nEach tree comes with a bag of mulch.\nYou will need to pick up your trees at Charlotte Land Management\, on Sat\, Dec. 10\, between 9-11:00 a.m. If you cannot make this window\, please make arrangements with a neighbor to get your trees. \nAt the TreeAdoption\, you will be taught how to properly plant and care for your tree(s).  Tree training is mandatory.\nAbout the trees: The trees are in 7-gallon containers\, measure 6-15 feet tall\, and weigh about 20-25 pounds.
