DESCRIPTION:TreesCharlotte is excited to plant approximately 197 trees across the Highland Creek Elementary and Ridge Road Middle School campuses made possible by a partnership with Arbor Day Foundation\,  Edward Jones\,  and the KaitzFamilyFoundation \nThis event is now full and we are no longer accepting volunteers. Please visit our event calendar to look for more opportunities!  \n \nThis will be a tiered event with two start times! General volunteers signing up will be asked to show up at 10:30 am. Another group will be starting at 8:45 am.  \nTree planting events are great for families and all ages are welcome. To ensure accurate active volunteer counts\, please list all participants on the registration form\, along with the children’s ages. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. \nNon-corporate volunteer groups of 10 or more\, please contact events director\, Zack Agerton to determine if there is enough capacity. (Corporate groups please contact Beth Brodie for more information) \nEvents are held rain or shine. Details of the event will be emailed to registered volunteers the week of the event. \n  \nWe are recruiting 16 TreeMasters for this event. DESCRIPTION:Having completed a NeighborWoods Application TreesCharlotte is pleased to partner with the Selwyn Village neighborhood to plant trees in their common areas which the residents will be able to enjoy for years to come! \nWe are recruiting 25 volunteers and 4 TreeMasters to help plant trees in the common areas at 9:00 am on November 12. Register early as our events “sell-out” quickly.  Registration to volunteer opens on October 1st. DESCRIPTION:Thanks in part to the generosity to Allspring Global Investments\,  TreesCharlotte is excited to host a Zip Code TreeAdoption event for East Charlotte. We invite residents living in zip codes 28205\, 28206\, 28212\, 28213\, 28215\, and 28227 to come on out and get some trees at Landscape Management.  \nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER \nTo ensure the event runs smoothly please read the details below carefully: \nHere’s what you need to know:  \n\nRegistration is required and opens at 10am Monday\, Nov. 14 (link will be posted above on Nov 14) and closes when we “sell-out” of trees or at 11:59pm Thursday\, Nov. 17th \nEach City of Charlotte address within zip codes 28205\, 28206\, 28212\, 28213\, 28215\, and 28227 can get up to 2 trees. While the registration form does not limit the total number of trees\, households requesting more than 2 trees will be notified and removed.\nA valid email address is required to register.\nPlease allow for at least 45 minutes to receive your trees as everyone is required to go through a planting demonstration. \nWe are continuing to implement staggered pickup times. On the registration form\, you will choose a time frame to pick up your trees. \nAt the TreeAdoption\, you will be taught how to plant and care for your tree(s) properly.  Tree training is mandatory.\nAbout the trees: The trees are in 7-gallon containers\, measure 6-10 feet tall\, and weigh about 10-15 pounds. The mulch weighs 25 pounds/bag. Links to the species we are offering are provided below.  Please do your homework first to ensure you’re putting the right tree in the right place. Once registered\, selections are final and cannot be changed.\nTreesCharlotte will send a follow-up email with planting instructions – including a planting video – watering instructions and specific information about the species you select.\n\nTreesCharlotte is a non-profit organization that relies on donations to be able to host events like this. Donations are greatly appreciated and help us give more trees to Charlotte residents. If interested please click HERE.  \nThe trees below will be available. All species are subject to change. Quantities are limited.
