SUMMARY:Season Opening Citywide TreeAdoption - SOLD OUT
DESCRIPTION:We are back! TreesCharlotte is kicking off its event season with a City-wideTreeAdoption made possible by a partnership with Presidents Cup at Quail Hollow Club and Atrium. We’ll have a huge mix of species\, from small flowering to canopy building to evergreen screening. There’s something for everybody. \n  \nHere’s what you need to know:  \n\nRegistration is required and opens at 10:00 a.m. Monday\, September 19th (link will be posted above on 9/19) and closes when trees “sell-out” or at 11:59 p.m. Thursday\, September 22nd.  Scroll down below to see the offered species!  \nEach Charlotte address/household can get up to 2 trees. While the registration form does not limit the total number of trees\, households requesting more than 2 trees will be notified and removed.\nA valid email address is required to register.\nPlease allow for at least 45 minutes to receive your trees as everyone is required to go through a planting demonstration. \nWe are continuing to implement staggered pickup times. On the registration form\, you will choose a time frame to pick up your trees. \nAt the TreeAdoption\, you will be taught how to properly plant and care for your tree(s).  Tree training is mandatory.\nAbout the trees: The trees are in 3\, 5\, and 7-gallon containers\, measure 6-10 feet tall\, and weigh about 10-15 pounds. The mulch weighs 25 pounds/bag. Links to the species we are offering are provided below.  Please do your homework first to ensure you’re putting the right tree in the right place. Once registered\, selections are final and cannot be changed.\nTreesCharlotte will send a follow-up email with planting instructions – including a planting video – watering instructions and specific information about the species you select.\nWe limit participation to residents within Charlotte city limits.  At this time\, we do not serve Matthews\, Mint Hill\, Pineville\, Huntersville\, Davidson\, Cornelius\, Mecklenburg County\, or other municipalities outside Charlotte.\n\nTreesCharlotte is a non-profit organization that relies on donations to be able to host events like this. Donations are greatly appreciated and help us give more trees to Charlotte residents. If interested please click HERE.  \nThe trees below will be available\, but all species are subject to change. Quantities are limited. Register early to ensure the best selection. \nSelections are final and once registered\, cannot be changed.  Be sure to research which tree will work best for your yard before registering. \n\n \nDogwood\n\n \nDogwood\n\n\n\n \nForest Pansy Redbud\n\n \nRedbud\n\n\n\n \nLiberty Holly\n\n \nLiberty Holly\n\n\n\n \nMaple\n\n \nMaple\n\n\n\n \nWillow Oak\n\n \nWillow Oak\n\n\n\n \nElm\n\n \nElm\n\n\n\n \nGinkgo\n\n \nGinkgo\n\n\n\n \nLittle Gem Magnolia\n\n \nLittle Gem Magnolia\n\n\n\n \nCrape Myrtle\n\n \nCrape Myrtle\n\n\n\n \nBald Cypress\n\n \nBald Cypress\n\n\n\n \nShumard Oak\n\n \nShumard Oak\n\n\n\n \nGreen Giant Arborvitae\n\n \nArborvitae\n\n\n\n \nTupelo\n\n \nTupelo\n\n\n\n \nYoshino Cherry\n\n \nYoshino Cherry\n\n\nWe are looking for 15 TreeMasters to help with this event.
