DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to go back to our normal event format\, which includes an in-person planting demonstration and tree education\, a core mission of TreesCharlotte!  \nThanks to the generosity of Bank of America\, TreesCharlotte is excited to bring our Zip Code TreeAdoption event to the Steele Creek area.  We invite residents living in zip codes 28217\,  28273\, and 28278 to come on out and get some trees at the Steele Creek Athletic Association. To ensure the event runs smoothly please read the details below carefully.  \n \nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER FOR TREES \nHere’s what you need to know:  \n\nRegistration is required and opens at 10 am Tuesday\, February 1st.  (link will be posted above on 2/01) and closes when we “sell-out” of trees or at 11:59 pm Thursday\, February 3rd. \nEach address within the city of Charlotte zip codes 28217\, 28273\, and 28278 can get up to 2 trees. While the registration form does not limit the total number of trees\, households requesting more than 2 trees will be notified and removed.\nA valid email address is required to register.\nPlease allow for at least 45 minutes to receive your trees as everyone is required to go through a planting demonstration. \nWe are continuing to implement staggered pickup times. On the registration form\, you will choose a time frame to pick up your trees. \nAt the TreeAdoption\, you will be taught how to properly plant and care for your tree(s).  Tree training is mandatory.\nAbout the trees: The trees are in 7-gallon containers\, measure 6-10 feet tall\, and weigh about 10-15 pounds. We will conduct a TreeAdoption at TreesCharlotte\, 701 Tuckaseegee rd\, on Sat\, Feb. 12th\, for residents to pick up and plant trees in their own yards! What a great way to add more shade and beauty to your neighborhood. \nResidents\, here’s what you need to know: \n\nEach Wilmore household can get up to 2 trees. You must pre-register for the trees. Please read through our new event protocols here before registering to volunteer. \nWe are looking for 30 volunteers to help plant 53 trees in the common areas on the morning of February 26th. Register early as our events “sell-out” quickly. 0 spots remain. (we now have all the TreeMasters we need for this event!) \nTree planting events are great for families and all ages are welcome. To ensure accurate counts and liability forms are signed\, we ask that all participants please register separately. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. \nVolunteer groups of 10 or more\, please contact events director\, Zack Agerton to determine if there is enough capacity. \nEvents are held rain or shine. Details of the event will be emailed to registered volunteers the week of the event. \nDeadline to register to volunteer is Sunday\, Feb 20.
