DESCRIPTION:Having completed a NeighborWoods Application  TreesCharlotte is pleased to partner with the Henderson Oaks neighborhood to provide trees to their residents. Volunteers\, please scroll to the end for details. \nWe will conduct a TreeAdoption in the col du sac at 5736 Henderson Oaks Drive on Sat\, Dec. 4th\, for residents to pick up and plant trees in their own yards! What a great way to add more shade and beauty to your neighborhood. \nResidents\, here’s what you need to know: \n\nEach Henderson Oaks household can get up to 3 trees\, with a limit of 2 of the same species per household.\nYou must pre-register for the trees. Registration opens at 10:00 am\, Monday\, Nov. 15 (link will be provided by neighborhood leadership) and closes at 11:59 pm\, Wednesday\, Nov 24.\nEach tree comes with a bag of mulch.\nYou will need to pick up your trees at the col du sac at 5736 Henderson Oaks Drive\, on Sat\, December 4\, between 10-11:00 a.m. If you cannot make this window\, please make arrangements with a neighbor to get your trees. \nAt the TreeAdoption\, you will be taught how to properly plant and care for your tree(s).  Tree training is mandatory.\nAbout the trees: The trees are in 7-gallon containers\, measure 6-15 feet tall\, and weigh about 20-25 pounds. The mulch weighs 25 pounds/bag.  Links will be provided below to learn more about each species; please do your homework first to ensure you’re putting the right tree in the right place.  Once registered\, your selections are final.\nTreesCharlotte will send a follow-up email with planting instructions – including a planting video – watering instructions and specific information about the species you select. Tree planting is not provided.\n\nThe trees below will hopefully be available. All species are subject to change. Quantities are limited. DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to go back to our normal event format\, which includes an in-person planting demonstration and tree education\, a core mission of TreesCharlotte!  \nTreesCharlotte is excited to bring our Zip Code TreeAdoption event to the Eastside\, generously sponsored by Wells Fargo. We  invite residents living in zip codes 28205\, 28212\, 28215\, and 28227 to come on out and get some trees at TreesCharlotte.  \nRegister for Trees Here! \nTo ensure the event runs smoothly please read the details below carefully: \nHere’s what you need to know:  \n\nRegistration is required and opens at 10am Tuesday\, December 7.  (link will be posted above on Dec 7) and closes when we “sell-out” of trees or at 11:59 pm Thursday\, December 9. \nEach address within zip codes 28205\, 28212\, 28215\, and 28227 can get up to 2 trees. While the registration form does not limit the total number of trees\, households requesting more than 2 trees will be notified and removed.\nProof of residency within 28205\, 28212\, 28215\, and 28227  (ie: driver’s license\, utility bill\, etc) must be shown at the event.\nA valid email address is required to register.\nPlease allow for at least 50 minutes to receive your trees as everyone is required to go through a planting demonstration. \nWe are continuing to implement staggered pickup times. On the registration form\, you will choose a time frame to pick up your trees. \nAt the TreeAdoption\, you will be taught how to properly plant and care for your tree(s).  Tree training is mandatory.\nAbout the trees: The trees are in 7-gallon containers\, measure 6-10 feet tall\, and weigh about 10-15 pounds. DESCRIPTION:Having completed a NeighborWoods Application\, TreesCharlotte is pleased to partner with the Sardis Cove neighborhood to plant 20 trees in their common areas!  \nWhile TreesCharlotte strives to celebrate\, expand\, and protect the tree canopy in Charlotte\, we also want to protect the health of our supporters\, volunteers\, and partners from risks associated with COVID-19.  We appreciate your continued interest in volunteering with us even in these difficult times. Please read through our new event protocols here before registering to volunteer. \nWe are looking for 20 volunteers and 3 TreeMasters to help plant 20 trees in the common areas on the morning of Dec. 11th. Register early as our events “sell-out” quickly. 1 spot remain \nTree planting events are great for families and all ages are welcome. To ensure accurate counts and liability forms are signed\, we ask that all participants please register separately. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. \nVolunteer groups of 10 or more\, please contact events director\, Zack Agerton to determine if there is enough capacity. \nEvents are held rain or shine. Details of the event will be emailed to registered volunteers the week of the event. \nDeadline to register to volunteer is Sunday\, December 5.
