DESCRIPTION:We are excited to offer trees to the attendees of the Hindu Center of Charlotte!  \nWe will conduct a TreeAdoption at the Hindu Center on Sat\, Nov. 6th\, for residents to pick up and plant trees in their own yards! What a great way to add more shade and beauty to your neighborhood. \nHere’s what you need to know: \n\nAttendees of the Hindu Center Only: Each household can get up to 2 trees\, with a limit of 2 of the same species per household.\nYou must pre-register for the trees. Registration opens at 10:00 am\, Monday\, Oct. 18th  (link will be provided by the Hindu Center) and closes at 11:59 pm\, Thursday\, Oct. 28th.\nEach tree comes with a bag of mulch.\nYou will need to pick up your trees at the Hindu Center\, on Sat\, Nov 6th\, between 10:30-11:30 a.m. If you cannot make this window\, please make arrangements with a neighbor to get your trees. \nAt the TreeAdoption\, you will be taught how to properly plant and care for your tree(s).  Tree training is mandatory.\nAbout the trees: The trees are in 7-gallon containers\, measure 6-15 feet tall\, and weigh about 20-25 pounds. The mulch weighs 25 pounds/bag.  Links will be provided below to learn more about each species; please do your homework first to ensure you’re putting the right tree in the right place.  Once registered\, your selections are final.\nTreesCharlotte will send a follow-up email with planting instructions – including a planting video – watering instructions and specific information about the species you select. Tree planting is not provided.\n\nOnce known\, the available trees will be posted be below. DESCRIPTION:While TreesCharlotte strives to celebrate\, expand\, and protect the tree canopy in Charlotte\, we also want to protect the health of our supporters\, volunteers\, and partners from risks associated with COVID-19.  We appreciate your continued interest in volunteering with us even in these difficult times. Please read through our new event protocols here before registering to volunteer. \n \nThanks to the generous support of TIAA and  Trammell Crow Residential (TCR)\, the multifamily development company of Dallas-based Crow Holdings\, TreesCharlotte is excited to partner with Back Creek Church to not only host a Zip Code TreeAdoption to give out trees to residents living in 28213\, 28262\, or 28269 but also to plant approximately 200 trees around their campus. We are looking for 110 volunteers and 8 TreeMasters to help plant trees around the campus on the morning of November 13. Register early as our events “sell-out” quickly.   0 spots remain.  \nTree planting events are great for families and all ages are welcome. To ensure accurate counts and liability forms are signed\, we ask that all participants please register separately. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. \nVolunteer groups of 10 or more\, please contact events director\, Zack Agerton to determine if there is enough capacity. \nEvents are held rain or shine. Details of the event will be emailed to registered volunteers the week of the event. \nDeadline to register to volunteer is Sunday\, November 7.

We invite residents living in zip codes 28213\, 28262\, and 28269 to come on out and get some trees at Back Creek Church.  \nREGISTER HERE! \nTo ensure the event runs smoothly please read the details below carefully: \nHere’s what you need to know:  \n\nRegistration is required and opens at 10am Tuesday\, November 9 (link will be posted above on Nov 9) and closes when we “sell-out” of trees or at 11:59pm Thursday\, November 11. \nEach address within zip code 28213\, 28262\, and 28269 can get up to 2 trees.
