DESCRIPTION:Having completed a NeighborWoods Application TreesCharlotte is pleased to partner with the Seven Oaks neighborhood to plant trees in their common areas and to provide trees to their residents.  Volunteers\, please scroll to the end for details. \nWe will conduct a TreeAdoption at Seven Oaks pool on Sat\, Oct 2\, for residents to pick up and plant trees in their own yards! What a great way to add more shade and beauty to your neighborhood. \nResidents\, here’s what you need to know: \n\nEach Seven Oaks household can get up to 3 trees\, with a limit of 2 of the same species per household.\nYou must pre-register for the trees. Registration opens at 10:00 am\, Monday\, Sept 13 (link will be shared by Seven Oaks HOA) and closes at 11:59 pm\, Thursday\, Sept 23.\nThe cost is $10/tree (plus fees). Each tree comes with a bag of mulch.\nYou will need to pick up your trees at the Seven Oaks pool\, on Sat\, Oct 2\, between 9-10:00 a.m. If you cannot make this window\, please make arrangements with a neighbor to get your trees. \nAt the TreeStore\, you will be taught how to properly plant and care for your tree(s).  Tree training is mandatory.\nAbout the trees: The trees are in 7-gallon containers\, measure 6-15 feet tall\, and weigh about 20-25 pounds. The mulch weighs 25 pounds/bag.  Links will be provided below to learn more about each species; please do your homework first to ensure you’re putting the right tree in the right place.  Once registered\, your selections are final.\nTreesCharlotte will send a follow-up email with planting instructions – including a planting video – watering instructions and specific information about the species you select. Tree planting is not provided.\n\nThe trees below will be available. All species are subject to change. Quantities are limited. Register early to ensure the best selection. \nSelections are final and once registered\, cannot be changed.  Be sure to research which tree will work best for your yard before registering. \nVOLUNTEERS NEEDED!\nWe are recruiting 50 volunteers and 8 TreeMasters to help plant trees in the common areas at 10:00 am on Oct 2. DESCRIPTION:TreesCharlotte is excited to bring our TreeAdoption event to the Historic West End\, generously sponsored by Wells Fargo. We  invite residents living in the Historic West end neighborhoods to pick up trees at the Northwest School of the Arts.  \nTo ensure the event runs smoothly please read the details below carefully: \nHere’s what you need to know:  \n\nYou must pre-register. Registration opens at 10:00 am Monday\, September 20.  (link will be provided by community leaders) and closes when we “sell-out” of trees or at 11:59 pm Thursday\, September 30. \nEach Historic West end only! Each address can get up to 2 trees. While the registration form does not limit the total number of trees\, households requesting more than 2 trees will be notified and removed. Proof of residency within the Historic West End (ie: driver’s license\, utility bill\, etc) must be shown at the event.\nA valid email address is required to register.\nAt the TreeAdoption\, you will be taught how to properly plant and care for your tree(s).  Tree training is mandatory.\nAbout the trees: The trees are in 7-gallon containers\, measure 6-10 feet tall\, and weigh about 10-15 pounds. Please read through our new event protocols here before registering to volunteer. \nWe are looking for 200 volunteers to help plant trees around the campus on the morning of October 16. While the registration form does not limit the total number of trees\, households requesting more than 2 trees will be notified and removed.\nProof of residency within 28208\, 28214\, and 28216 (ie: driver’s license\, utility bill\, etc) must be shown at the event.\nA valid email address is required to register.\nPlease allow for at least 45 minutes to receive your trees as everyone is required to go through a planting demonstration. \nWe are continuing to implement staggered pickup times.
