DESCRIPTION:While TreesCharlotte strives to celebrate\, expand\, and protect the tree canopy in Charlotte\, we also want to protect the health of our supporters\, volunteers\, and partners from risks associated with COVID-19.  We appreciate your continued interest in volunteering with us even in these difficult times. Please read through our new event protocols here before registering. \nHaving completed a NeighborWoods Application  TreesCharlotte is pleased to partner with the Stowe Creek neighborhood to provide trees to their residents. We will conduct a drive-thru TreeStore at the Stowe Creek pool on Saturday\, October 3\, for residents to pick up and plant trees in their own yards! What a great way to add more shade and beauty to your neighborhood. \nResidents\, here’s what you need to know: \n\nEach Stowe Creek household can get up to 3 trees\, with a limit of 2 of the same species per household.\nYou must pre-register for the trees. Registration opens 12:01am Fri\, Sept 25 (link below available species)\, and closes at 11:59pm Tues\, Sept 29.\nThe cost is $10/tree (plus fees). Each tree comes with a bag of mulch.\nYou will need to pick up your trees at the Stowe Creek pool\, on Saturday\, October 3\, between 10-11:00 a.m.  If you cannot make this window\, please make arrangements with a neighbor to get your trees. \nThis will be a largely drive-through event to limit personal contact. You will be expected to load your own trees and mulch. \nAbout the trees: The trees are in 7-gallon containers\, measure 6-15 feet tall\, and weigh about 20-25 pounds. The mulch weighs 25 pounds/bag. Volunteers interested in planting\, please scroll down for details.  \nWe will conduct a drive-thru TreeStore at Back Creek Church on Sat\, Oct 17\, for residents to pick up and plant trees in their own yards! What a great way to add more shade and beauty to your neighborhood. \nResidents\, here’s what you need to know: \n\nEach Timberlands address/household can get up to 2 trees. While the registration form does not limit the total number of trees\, households requesting more than 2 trees will be notified and removed.\nYou must pre-register for the trees. Registration opens Mon\, Oct 5 (link will be shared with residents)\, and closes at midnight Wed\, Oct 7. \nClick through to the University City Zip Code TreeStore event page here for a list of trees that you’ll be able to choose from. \nThis will be a largely drive-through event to limit personal contact. You will be expected to load your own trees and bags of mulch. Neighbors are encouraged to work together to pick up multiple orders with one vehicle.\nTo respect guidelines around large gatherings and to limit the number of registrants on-site at any one time\, we are implementing staggered pick up times.  On the registration form\, you will choose a time-frame to pick up your tree (9:15-10am\, 10-10:45am or 10:45-11:30am).   You must pick up your trees/mulch at some point during your chosen time-frame.  Trees not picked up will be forfeited and placed back into inventory.\nAbout the trees: The trees are in 7-gallon containers\, measure 6-15 feet tall\, and weigh about 20-25 pounds. The mulch weighs 25 pounds/bag. To ensure we operate within State and CDC guidelines\, we are requiring a registration form for each volunteer\, regardless of age. We cannot accept walk-up volunteers at the event. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. \nVolunteer groups of 10 or more\, please contact the events director\, Zack Agerton to determine if there is enough capacity. \nEvents are held rain or shine.  Details of the event will be emailed to registered volunteers the week of the event. \nDeadline to register to volunteer is Sunday\, October 11.

DESCRIPTION:TreesCharlotte is excited to partner with Back Creek Church to not only plant trees around their campus but also to host a Zip Code TreeStore to give out trees to residents living in 28213\, 28262 or 28269.  If you live in one of these zip codes\, 28213\, 28262\, or 28269\, we invite you to come out and get some trees for your yard. \nTo ensure the event follows social distancing guidelines\, details are different from our typical TreeStores\, so read carefully: \nHere’s what you need to know:  \n\nYou must pre-register. Registration opens 10am Fri\, Oct 9 (link below available species) and closes at 11:59pm Tues\, Oct 13.  \nEach address within zip code 28213\, 28262 or 28269 can get up to 2 trees TOTAL.
