Deadline to register is midnight\, March 3.  \nWalk-ups are welcome. \nWalk-ups Welcome\, pre-registration has closed. \nRegistration does not guarantee you trees or tree varieties\, however\, it does get you a sneak peek (via email a few days before the event) of the varieties we hope to offer. \nWe expect to give out close to 300 trees on a first-come\, first-served basis. Expect long lines as this will be a popular event. \nVolunteers are needed to distribute and load trees and mulch into participants’ cars.  Register to volunteer below.  Deadline to register is March 1.

SUMMARY:Big Tree/Everything-Must-Go/Drive-Thru Citywide TreeStore
DESCRIPTION:Demand has been tree-mendous and we are now sold out of trees.  Sign up for our e-newsletter to stay informed of  all our happenings\, including more TreeStores next season.\nReady to try something new?  In an effort to clear our inventory of trees and keep everyone safe\, we are hosting what we’re calling the Big Tree/Everything-Must-Go/Drive-Thru Citywide TreeStore. We want to thank our partnership with Duke Energy/Piedmont Natural Gas as well as Lending Tree\, the Charlotte 2020 Host Committee and the 2020 Convention Planners for making this event possible. \nTo ensure the event follows social distancing guidelines\, some details are different from our typical TreeStores\, so read carefully: \nHere’s what you need to know:  \n\nYou must pre-register for trees. Registration opens Monday\, May 11 and closes at midnight Wednesday\, May 13.  Scroll down below the list of species for the link.\nEach address/household can get up to 3 trees. While the registration form does not limit the total number of trees\, registrations requesting more than 3 trees will be notified and removed.\nThis TreeStore will be drive-thru only to limit personal contact. You will be expected to load your own trees and mulch. Neighbors are encouraged to work together to pick up multiple orders with one vehicle.\nOn the registration form\, you will choose a time-frame to pick up your tree ( noon-1 p.m.). You must pick up your trees at some point during your time-frame.  Trees not picked up will be forfeited and placed back into inventory to be given out at the end of the event.\nAbout the trees: The trees are in 7-gallon containers\, measure 6-15 feet tall and weigh about 20-25 pounds. The mulch weighs 25 pounds/bag. As you’ll see below\, you have 7 species to choose from. Links are provided to learn more about each species; please do your homework first to ensure you’re putting the right tree in the right place.\nImportant note: TreesCharlotte typically does not distribute trees this late in the spring – newly planted trees fare better when there’s cooler weather ahead. We hope that with your love and care\, they will flourish once planted. But if they don’t\, we’ll be back in the fall with more TreeStores!\nTreesCharlotte will send a follow-up email with planting instructions – including a planting video – watering instructions and specific information about the species you select.\nTreesCharlotte’s mission is to help the City of Charlotte reach its goal of 50% tree canopy by 2050.  We\, therefore\, limit participation to residents within Charlotte city limits.  At this time\, we do not serve Matthews\, Mint Hill\, Pineville\, Huntersville\, Davidson\, Cornelius\, Mecklenburg County or other municipalities outside Charlotte.\n\nWe’d like to thank Noble Smoke for hosting us in their parking lot. If you haven’t tried them before\, consider ordering some amazing BBQ from them when you pick up your trees. Ordering details can be found here. \nTreesCharlotte is a non-profit organization that relies on donations to be able to host events like this.  A suggested donation of $30 is greatly appreciated and would help us give more trees to Charlotte residents. \nYou’ll be able to choose from the following trees when you register (registration link below opens at 5 p.m.). Quantities are limited. Register early to ensure the best selection.   \nSelections are final and once registered\, cannot be changed.  Be sure to research which tree will work best for your yard before registering. \n\n \nOvercup Oak\n\n \nOak\, Overcup\n\n\n\n \nSold Out\n\n \nOak\, Shumard – Sold Out\n\n\n\n \nWillow Oak\n\n \nOak\, Willow\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Eastside ZipCode TreeStore - 28205\, 28212\, 28215\, 28227- NOW SOLD OUT!
DESCRIPTION:Excitement for this Zip Code TreeStore has been Tree-mendous and we are now “sold out” of trees.\nTreesCharlotte is excited to bring our Zip Code TreeStore to the Eastside.  We invite residents living in zip codes 28205\, 28212\, 28215\, and 28227 to come on out and get some trees at a Central United Methodist Church. \nTo ensure the event follows social distancing guidelines\, details are different from our typical TreeStores\, so read carefully: \nHere’s what you need to know:  \n\nYou must pre-register. Registration opens 10:00 am Tuesday\, Feb 9.  (link will be below available species) and closes when we “sell-out” of trees or at 11:59 pm Friday\, Feb 12. \nEach address within zip code 28205\, 28212\, 28215\, and 28227 can get up to 2 trees. While the registration form does not limit the total number of trees\, households requesting more than 2 trees will be notified and removed.\nA valid email address is required to register.\nThe event will be drive-thru only to limit personal contact. You will be expected to load your own trees and mulch.\nTo respect guidelines around large gatherings and to limit the number of registrants on-site at any one time\, we are implementing staggered pick up times.  On the registration form\, you will choose a time-frame to pick up your trees. \nAbout the trees: The trees are in 7-gallon containers\, measure 6-10 feet tall\, and weigh about 10-15 pounds. The mulch weighs 25 pounds/bag. Links to the species we are offering are provided below.  Please do your homework first to ensure you’re putting the right tree in the right place. Once registered\, selections are final and cannot be changed.\nTreesCharlotte will send a follow-up email with planting instructions – including a planting video – watering instructions and specific information about the species you select.\n\nTreesCharlotte is a non-profit organization that relies on donations to be able to host events like this.  Donations are greatly appreciated and help us give more trees to Charlotte residents. \nYou’ll be able to choose from the following trees when you register. Be sure to research which tree will work best for your yard before registering.  \nQuantities are limited. Register early to ensure the best selection.
