SUMMARY:Color The Canopy Opening Party
DESCRIPTION:TreesCharlotte is excited to announce a unique fundraiser to protect and grow Charlotte’s beloved tree canopy: The sale of 27 original Paul Simon paintings\, with all proceeds benefitting the non-profit. Paul’s paintings feature landscapes\, flowers and some particularly festive roosters. \nEnjoy a glass of wine and see all of the paintings on display at Paul Simon Men’s Store on Friday\, April 20\, from 6-8 p.m. \nMoney raised from Color the Canopy will go toward tree plantings\, stewardship and educational programs. SUMMARY:Grier Heights and Elizabeth Heights NeighborWoods Event
DESCRIPTION:Having completed a NeighborWoods Application and been accepted into the program\, TreesCharlotte is pleased to be partnering with the Grier Heights and the Elizabeth Heights neighborhoods to distribute free trees to their residents. \nPre-registration for trees is required by completing the form below. You must be a resident of Grier Heights or Elizabeth Heights.  Deadline to register for trees is Monday\, October 7.  \nResidents of Grier Heights and Elizabeth Heights are invited to come to the Grier Heights Community Center\, learn about trees and take up to 3 home to plant. At the event\, you will be trained on how to properly plant and care for your tree(s).  Tree training is mandatory.  You will then be asked to complete and sign a Stewardship Pledge Form and declare your pledge to take care of the tree(s) we provide. \nWe cannot guarantee species type or quantities.  Trees are 6-10′ tall\, and will not be reserved or transported. This is a first come\, first served event. \nEvents are held rain or shine.  A modest rainfall actually provides ideal planting conditions. \n\nI have enough TreeMasters for this event. A few seasoned TreeMasters are needed to help run the event and help with tree and mulch distribution.
