In this one‑hour presentation\, you’ll discover how keystone trees fuel entire ecosystems and how soft landings turn ordinary yards into life-supporting landscapes. \nBio: Linda Nelson is an environmental advocate dedicated to promoting native plants\, sustainable landscaping\, and ecological education throughout the Charlotte region. As the founder and president of the Wild Ones Charlotte Piedmont Chapter\, she has helped grow a community movement that encourages the use of native plants in the landscape to support pollinators\, wildlife habitats\, and biodiversity. Through this role\, Linda has led educational programs\, workshops\, and public outreach initiatives across the North Carolina Piedmont\, collaborating with gardening groups\, conservation organizations\, and local educators to expand awareness and inspire action. She is certified in Native Plant Studies from the UNCC Botanical Gardens and is a Certified Pollinator Steward from the Pollinator Partnership. \nLinda owns Bee Good Garden Design\, LLC\, a landscape design business rooted in the same ecological principles she champions through her volunteer work. Her design approach emphasizes native gardening\, pollinator support\, wildlife habitat creation\, and environmentally responsible landscaping practices. Through both her leadership and professional work\, Linda continues to advance native plant awareness and grassroots environmental stewardship\, helping homeowners and communities create landscapes that are not only beautiful but ecologically meaningful.
