Make sure to register on BOTH TreesCharlotte’s page and Elizabeth 8k’s to get free coffee\, breakfast from Biscuit Belly\, and a t-shirt! \nInterested volunteers should first register through our GivePulse page.  \n \nSecondly\, be sure to visit the Elizabeth 8K page and complete the required registration. \n  \nAbout the Elizabeth 8K Race: \nThe Elizabeth Community Association (ECA) is thrilled to announce the 39th Annual Elizabeth 8K\, one of Charlotte’s oldest 8Ks! There are several events to choose from: \n\nAn 8K timed race for the competitive type: This course provides a fantastic tour of the scenic residential and commercial streets of the Elizabeth neighborhood.\nA 1.5M untimed run/walk for the casual participants: Join your friends for a brisk walk\, go for a jog with your kids\, or just get outdoors for a nice stroll through the neighborhood with your coffee.\nThe Liz Kids’ Fun Run for the little ones: Even the little ones can get in on the action with this FREE fun ~50-yard dash. It’s for kids six years of age and younger.\n\nBENEFICIARIES. Proceeds benefit the beautification of the Elizabeth neighborhood\, and TreesCharlotte\, a public/private nonprofit collaboration to grow\, diversify and steward Charlotte’s iconic urban forest.

DESCRIPTION:  \nTreesCharlotte is excited to bring back our TreeFest event for its third year! This family fun tree celebration will include tree friendly arts and crafts\, live music\, environmental activites\, an “ask the arborist” booth for free tree advice\, food trucks\, and an eco-market with local businesses\, artists\, and nonprofits. We will also have a tie dye station with natural dyes–bring an extra bag\, bandana\, or shirt! We will be distributing tree seedlings and will bring back our seedling potting station for anyone who would like their tree potted for them.
