SUMMARY:North End Zip Code TreeStore - 28202\, 28203\, 28204\, 28206\, 28216
DESCRIPTION:TreesCharlotte is excited to bring our Zip Code TreeStore to the North End.  We invite residents living in zip codes 28202\, 28203\, 28204\, 28206 or 28216 to come on out and get some trees for your yard. \nTo ensure the event follows social distancing guidelines\, details are different from our typical TreeStores\, so read carefully: \nHere’s what you need to know:  \n\nYou must pre-register. Registration opens 10 am Monday\, Nov 23 (link will be below available species) and closes when we “sell out” of trees.  \nEach address within zip code 28202\, 28203\, 28204\, 28206 or 28216 can get up to 2 trees. While the registration form does not limit the total number of trees\, households requesting more than 2 trees will be notified and removed.\nA valid email address is required to register.\nThe event will be drive-thru only to limit personal contact. You will be expected to load your own trees and mulch.\nTo respect guidelines around large gatherings and to limit the number of registrants on-site at any one time\, we are implementing staggered pick up times.  On the registration form\, you will choose a time-frame to pick up your trees. \nAbout the trees: The trees are in 3\, 5 or 7-gallon containers\, measure 6-10 feet tall and weigh about 10-15 pounds. The mulch weighs 25 pounds/bag. Links to the species we are offering are provided below.  Please do your homework first to ensure you’re putting the right tree in the right place. Once registered\, selections are final and cannot be changed.\nTreesCharlotte will send a follow-up email with planting instructions – including a planting video – watering instructions and specific information about the species you select.\n\nTreesCharlotte is a non-profit organization that relies on donations to be able to host events like this.  Donation are greatly appreciated and help us give more trees to Charlotte residents. \nYou’ll be able to choose from the following trees when you register. Be sure to research which tree will work best for your yard before registering.  \nQuantities are limited. Register early to ensure the best selection. Selections are final and once registered\, cannot be changed.  \n\n \nCryptomeria\, Japanese Yew\n\n \nJapanese Yew\n\n\n\n \nBubble Gum Redbud\n\n \nRedbud\n\n\n\n \nKousa Dogwood\n\n \nDogwood\n\n\n\n \nGordlinia\n\n \nGordlinia\n\n\n\n \nKay Parris Magnolia\n\n \nMagnolia\n\n\n\n \nChinese Juniper\n\n \nJuniper\n\n\n\n \nBlack Gum\n\n \nBlack Gum\n\n\n\n \nYoshino Cherry\n\n \nCherry\n\n\n\n \nWhite Oak\n\n \nOak\n\n\n\n \nArborvitae\n\n \nArborvitae\n\n\nRegister Here \nWe’re recruiting 10 TreeMasters to help throughout the morning with traffic\, check-in and moving trees. SUMMARY:Fraser Park TreeDay
DESCRIPTION:While TreesCharlotte strives to celebrate\, expand\, and protect the tree canopy in Charlotte\, we also want to protect the health of our supporters\, volunteers\, and partners from risks associated with COVID-19.  We appreciate your continued interest in volunteering with us even in these difficult times. Please read through our new event protocols here before registering to volunteer. \nTreesCharlotte is excited to plant approximately 30 15-gallon trees around Fraser Park. \nTo ensure a safe and enjoyable event\, we are limiting the number of volunteers to 30 for this TreeDay. Register early as our events “sell out” quickly.   10 spots remain. \nTree planting events are great for families and all ages are welcome. To ensure we operate within State and CDC guidelines\, we are limiting each 2-hour shift to 20 volunteers and are requiring a registration form for each volunteer\, regardless of age. We cannot accept walk-up volunteers at the event. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. \nVolunteer groups of 10 or more\, please contact events director\, Heike Biller to determine if there is enough capacity. \nEvents are held rain or shine. Details of the event will be emailed to registered volunteers the week of the event. \nDeadline to register is Tuesday\, December 1.  We now have enough TreeMaster help and are simply seeking general volunteers to help.
