SUMMARY:Grier Heights and Elizabeth Heights NeighborWoods Event
DESCRIPTION:Having completed a NeighborWoods Application and been accepted into the program\, TreesCharlotte is pleased to be partnering with the Grier Heights and the Elizabeth Heights neighborhoods to distribute free trees to their residents. \nPre-registration for trees is required by completing the form below. You must be a resident of Grier Heights or Elizabeth Heights.  Deadline to register for trees is Monday\, October 7.  \nResidents of Grier Heights and Elizabeth Heights are invited to come to the Grier Heights Community Center\, learn about trees and take up to 3 home to plant. At the event\, you will be trained on how to properly plant and care for your tree(s).  Tree training is mandatory.  You will then be asked to complete and sign a Stewardship Pledge Form and declare your pledge to take care of the tree(s) we provide. \nWe cannot guarantee species type or quantities.  Trees are 6-10′ tall\, and will not be reserved or transported. This is a first come\, first served event. \nEvents are held rain or shine.  A modest rainfall actually provides ideal planting conditions. \n\nI have enough TreeMasters for this event. A few seasoned TreeMasters are needed to help run the event and help with tree and mulch distribution. Click here to learn more about the TreeMaster program.

SUMMARY:Cotswold Homes Tree Planting Event
DESCRIPTION:Having completed a NeighborWoods Application and been accepted into the program\, TreesCharlotte is pleased to be partnering with Cotswold Homes to plant trees in common areas around their neighborhood.  We thank Wells Fargo for their generous support of our NeighborWoods events. \nTo ensure a safe and enjoyable event\, we are limiting the number of volunteers to 35 for this TreeDay. Register early as our events “sell out” quickly.  15 spots remaining. \nVolunteer groups of 10 or more\, please contact events director\, Heike Biller to determine if there is enough capacity. \nTree planting events are great for families and everyone is welcome. To ensure accurate active volunteer counts\, please list all participants on the registration form\, along with children’s ages. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. \nEvents are held rain or shine.  A modest rainfall actually provides ideal planting conditions. \nDeadline to register is Sunday\, October 6. \nI have enough TreeMasters for this event. Once registered\, more detailed information will be emailed to you the week of the event.
