SUMMARY:Carmel Middle School TreeDay Event
DESCRIPTION:TreesCharlotte will be planting approximately 100 trees on the campus of Carmel Middle School. \nTo ensure a safe and enjoyable event\, we are limiting the number of volunteers to 50 for this TreeDay. Register early as our events “sell out” quickly. 10 spots remain.  Please visit our events calendar for additional volunteer opportunities. \nTree planting events are great for families and everyone is welcome. To ensure accurate active volunteer counts\, please list all participants on the registration form\, along with children’s ages. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. \nEvents are held rain or shine.  A modest rainfall actually provides ideal planting conditions. \nDeadline to register is Sunday\, January 27. \nOnce registered\, more detailed information will be emailed to you the week of the event. \nWe have plenty of TreeMaster help for this one.    TreeMasters\, please click here to register to ensure your hours are recorded.

SUMMARY:First-Timers TreeStore
DESCRIPTION:SOLD OUT!\nRegistration for trees has reached capacity and has now closed.  Please visit our Free Trees page to find another TreeStore this season. \nWhether you’re new to Charlotte or new to TreesCharlotte\, we have a special invitation just for you. On Feb. 2\, we are hosting the inaugural First-Timers TreeStore\, where we’re giving away 100 free trees to Charlotte residents who’ve never shopped our stores before! We plan to have maples and dogwoods\, and if you’re a TreesCharlotte first-timer\, you can take home up two FREE trees and two bags of mulch! What a terrific way to get started on what promises to be a wonderful tree journey in the Queen City. \n\nEach Charlotte household is eligible for up to two free trees.  Limit 2 trees per address.  New participants only.\nTreesCharlotte’s mission is to help the City of Charlotte reach their goal of 50% tree canopy by 2050.  We therefore limit our efforts to expand the canopy within Charlotte’s city limits and limit participation to Charlotte residents only (unfortunately\, we do not serve Matthews\, Mint Hill\, Pineville\, Huntersville\, Davidson\, Cornelius\, other municipalities outside Charlotte\, or Mecklenburg County).\nProof of Charlotte residency (such as a driver’s license\, utility bill\, etc.) must be shown at the event in order to participate.\nA valid email address is required to register.\nYou will complete and sign a Stewardship Pledge Form (mandatory) and declare your pledge to take care of the tree(s) we provide.\nAt the TreeStore\, you will be taught how to properly plant and care for your tree(s).  Tree education is mandatory for everyone.\nWe cannot guarantee species type or quantities and will not know what will be available until the morning of the event.\nTrees are in 7-gallon containers\, range from 6-10′ tall\, and will not be reserved or transported.\n\nTreesCharlotte is a non-profit organization that relies on donations to be able to host events like this.  A suggested donation of $20 is greatly appreciated and would help us give more trees to Charlotte residents. \nRegistration has reached capacity and is now closed. \nExpect long lines.\nClick Here to Register for Trees
