SUMMARY:Pineknoll NeighborWoods Event
DESCRIPTION:Having completed a NeighborWoods Application and been accepted into the program\, TreesCharlotte is pleased to be partnering with the Pineknoll neighborhood to provide trees to their residents. \nPre-registration for trees is required through the secure link sent to residents. Deadline to register for trees is Sunday\, January 13. \nThe location of the event within Pineknoll is yet to be determined and will be updated once confirmed. \nResidents of Pineknoll are invited to come out\, learn about trees and take a few home to plant. At the event\, you will be trained on how to properly plant and care for your tree(s).  Tree training is mandatory.  You will then be asked to complete and sign a Stewardship Pledge Form with your home and email address (mandatory) and declare your pledge to take care of the tree(s) we provide. \nWe cannot guarantee species type or quantities.  Trees come in 7-gallon sized containers and range from 6-10′ tall\, and will not be reserved or transported.  This is a first come\, first served event. \nA few seasoned TreeMasters are needed to manage the event.

DESCRIPTION:TreesCharlotte is partnering with District Rotary to plant approximately 150 trees at the Steele Creek Athletic Association fields. \nWe love our volunteers\, however this event is reserved for Rotary members and TreeMasters.  Please visit our events calendar for other volunteer opportunities.  \nTo ensure a safe and enjoyable event\, we are limiting the number of volunteers to 75 for this TreeDay. Register early as our events “sell out” quickly. Only 35 spots remain. \nTree planting events are great for families and everyone is welcome. To ensure accurate active volunteer counts\, please list all participants on the registration form\, along with children’s ages. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. \nTreesCharlotte is exited to partner with CupLux Coffee to provide our volunteers with delicious\, hand crafted coffee at our events. \nEvents are held rain or shine.  A modest rainfall actually provides ideal planting conditions. \nDeadline to register is Sunday\, January 13. \nOnce registered\, more detailed information will be emailed to you the week of the event. \n\nTreeMasters\, please register here to ensure your hours get logged.

DESCRIPTION:Steele Creek\, are you ready for trees\, trees and more trees? We invite residents who live in the 28217\, 28273 and 28278 zip codes to our inaugural Zip Code TreeStore! This thriving southwest corner of the city has transformed from miles of farmland into the fastest-developing community in Charlotte. And that makes it the perfect spot for new trees. If you’re a resident of either zip code\, pre-register today and help make Steele Creek one of the best-canopy’d communities in the Queen City. We plan to give out 200 trees. \n\nEach address within zip code 28217\, 28273 or 28278 is eligible for up to two free trees.  Limit 2 trees per address.\nProof of residency within zip code 28217\, 28273 or 28278 (such as a driver’s license\, utility bill\, etc.) must be shown at the event in order to participate.\nA valid email address is required to register.\nYou will complete and sign a Stewardship Pledge Form (mandatory) and declare your pledge to take care of the tree(s) we provide.\nAt the TreeStore\, you will be taught how to properly plant and care for your tree(s).  Tree training is mandatory.\nWe cannot guarantee species type or quantities and will not know what will be available until the morning of the event.\nTrees are in 7-gallon containers\, range from 6-10′ tall\, and will not be reserved or transported.\n\nTreesCharlotte is a non-profit organization that relies on donations to be able to host events like this.  A suggested donation of $20 is greatly appreciated and would help us give more trees to Charlotte residents. \nPre-registration is required and will open on January 9 and close on January 15.  Note: Pre-registration does not guarantee you trees or tree varieties. \nClick Here to Register for Trees \nWe are in need of 10 TreeMasters to help move and distribute trees and mulch to participants. \n\n
