#130 Willow Oak (Quercus phellos)

This willow oak is now one of the largest known in Mecklenburg County, standing right in the middle of the quad of Central Piedmont Community College. It has been known as the "Granddaddy tree" for some time, and it has survived several major construction events very close by over the years.
