5th Annual Urban Forestry Summit

Sponsored by Bartlett Tree Experts, the 2016 Urban Forestry Summit was held Sept. 20 at UNC Charlotte Center City. The summit included an interesting and interactive discussion of the topics most relevant to our urban forest.

This was the first year the Summit was open to the public, and featured keynote presentations from Dr. David Nowak, i-Tree Team Leader, USDA Forest Service, who spoke about “Seeing the Urban Forest for the Trees” and Larry Selzer, President and CEO, The Conservancy Fund who spoke about “Urban Forests – A Bridge to Nature.” Charles Adair with Duke University also spoke about the Duke Carbon Offsets Initiative.
